GolfBros Skinz ("the App") is developed by True Compass AI. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Information We Collect
The App collects and uses the following types of information:
- iCloud Account Information: We use your Apple iCloud account identifier to enable multiplayer game functionality. This allows you to create games, join games, and sync game data across your devices. We do not access your Apple ID email, name, or password.
- Location Data: When you use the course selection feature, we request your approximate location to find nearby golf courses. Location data is used only for this purpose and is not stored on our servers.
- Game Data: Scores, player names, handicaps, game settings, and course information you enter are stored in Apple's CloudKit service to enable multiplayer functionality.
- Subscription Information: Purchase and subscription status is managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide multiplayer game functionality (creating, joining, and scoring games)
- To find golf courses near your location
- To sync your game data across devices signed into the same iCloud account
- To manage your subscription status
Data Storage
All game data is stored in Apple's CloudKit public database. We do not operate our own servers for storing user data. Your data is subject to Apple's privacy practices and iCloud terms of service.
Third-Party Services
- Apple CloudKit: Used for multiplayer game data storage and synchronization.
- Apple MapKit: Used to search for nearby golf courses based on your location.
- Golf Course API (golfcourseapi.com): Used to retrieve course hole data (par, yardage, handicap) for scoring purposes. Only the course name is sent to this service; no personal information is shared.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Game data you enter (such as player names and scores) is visible to other players in the same game through CloudKit.
Data Retention
Game data is retained in CloudKit as long as the game exists. You can delete your games from within the App. If you delete the App, your local data is removed, but game data in CloudKit may persist for other players in shared games.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your Rights
You can:
- Disable location access for the App in your device's Settings
- Delete your game data from within the App
- Cancel your subscription through Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Request deletion of your data by contacting us
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
